Power Automate helps us automate regular tasks and business process using a visual design interface. The automation is done using the connectors, triggers and actions offered by Power Automate. The automation process may require us to update or set multiselect fields using the dataverse connector which is not straight forward. In this tutorial we are going to talk about the same.
When we use the dataverse connector it show a dropdown to select an option even with multiselect fields. So as a work around we need to send a string of comma separated values of the options. The values can be found in the dataverse columns and then choice.
In our example, we are adding a Student which has a Course field which is multiselect. But the Power Automate connector shows only single select dropdown to select from. So we will set a variable to a string of comma separated values of the options and then set that variable in that field after selecting ‘Enter Custom Value’ from the dropdown.
And here we go.
