Applying Filter on a field on Editable Subgrid

Editable subgrids in Dynamics 365 are a powerful feature that allow users to edit related records directly within the parent record form. However, sometimes you may want to filter the records that are displayed in an editable subgrid. In this blog post, we will look at how to apply a filter to a lookup field in an editable subgrid.

Step 1:

Go to the form where the Editable Subgrid is placed.

Step 2:

Go to the properties of the Editable Subgrid > Scroll down to the components > Select Editable Grid .

Step 3:

Select the lookup view to your desired preference.

In This Instance, the view only shows Principal type accounts.
